Have you always wanted to see Adam Levine as an obsessed stalker who works in a butcher shop? You’re in luck, fans!
Maroon 5 has released the video for “Animals,” the second single off the band’s 2014 “V” album. It features “The Voice” coach as an (at first) unassuming butcher shop worker who is obsessed with a beautiful blonde woman, played by Levine’s real-life wife Behati Prinsloo.
Eventually they are wrapped up all hot and heavy, both in bed and being drenched with what is supposed to look like blood. It would appear that this is all happening in the butcher shop worker’s head, but that doesn’t make it any less creepy. Kind of a shame “Stalker” is a CBS show, or they’d have quite the corporate synergy going on.
Below, Levine talks to “Access Hollywood” about the success of the band’s fifth studio album and the new video, which was directed by the man behind one of the most famous music videos of all time — watch the interview to find out. Levine also says of the “Animals” video, “I don’t want to give it away, but it’s really dark.”
