Clark Gregg

As everybody knows, superheroes are extremely competitive — just look at Falcon vs. Hawkman, Aquaman vs. Namor, Hawkeye vs. Green Arrow or heck, “Batman v Superman.” Now, a pair of warring Marvel factions has decided to wage war on the battlefield — and that battlefield is Dubsmash.

Earlier this year, “Agent Carter” star Hayley Atwell discovered the addictive pop-video app that lets users make selfies dubbed with famous clips, songs and other silliness. In no time, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars were responding, Clark Gregg was dressing up like Agent Carter, Chris Evans was picking up the mic and laying the smack down, Miss Piggy got involved and things were getting out of control — but hey, at least it’s all for charity.

In the latest installment of this celebrity faux-feud, the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” crew is firing back with their take on Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” complete with impressive props and matching costumes. That clip is now pitted against Atwell/Piggy’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It),” and Marvel fans can vote for which one they like the best. Voters will also be entered in a contest, with the winner receiving a trip to Hollywood to star in a future dubsmash alongside the stars.

As of press time, the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” singers are way ahead, nearly doubling the “Agent Carter” gang. Stay tuned, because with two more rounds of the contest to go, there is undoubtedly lots of superhero silliness left to be seen.
