David Lynch may be asking fans not to leak any surprises from the set of his highly-anticipated “Twin Peaks” reboot, but here is one secret even he can’t keep under wraps: Amanda Seyfried will be joining the cast.
The 29-year-old-actress — that’s right, she was 5-years-old when Laura Palmer was killed — has signed on to play a “pivotal” role in the currently-filming Season 3 of the classic series. TV Line says that Seyfried will be playing a new character, and that she will be appearing in multiple episodes. The site speculates that maybe she could be the daughter of Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) and Annie (Heather Graham), which would make some sense as she resembles Graham quite a bit.
Seyfried joins confirmed returning stars MacLachlan, Madchen Amick and Dana Ashbrook, Everett McGill and Wendy Robie, as well as possibly a dozen or more familar faces from the 1990-1991 trailblazing show who are still under wraps for the time being. Stay tuned — more casting news is expected to break in the weeks to come from the place where there’s always music in the air.
