“American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson” has found its Kris Jenner — actress Selma Blair (“Cruel Intentions,” “Anger Management”).
Deadline reports that Blair is set to play the reality star/mogul in the upcoming anthology series. Back during the O.J. Simpson trial, Jenner was not yet a TV star but the ex-wife of Simpson defense attorney Robert Kardashian and friend of victim Nicole Brown Simpson. She was already remarried, to Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, and pregnant with her fifth child, Kendall.
In fact, in a recent interview with the New York Times, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” matriarch revealed that during Simpson’s trial she “sat in the courtroom gallery in protest and in hope of seeing justice for her friend, wearing Nicole’s hand-me-down maternity clothes.”
Blair joins a roster that so far includes John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian and Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark. Ryan Murphy (“American Horror Story,” “Glee”) is executive producing alongside writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (“The People vs. Larry Flynt”), Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson.
