So far, this season of “America’s Got Talent” has rewarded three Golden Buzzers to some very lucky contestants and on Tuesday (June 21), the show’s newest judge — series creator, Simon Cowell — finally found the inspiration to hit the highly coveted button.

When 16-year-old Calysta Bevier hit the stage, there was a special feeling that filled the room. Simon apparently felt it, as did the rest of the judges and audience. Bevier was there to sing and stated early on, her goal is to win. But what makes her a unique case is, just a year ago she was undergoing chemotherapy for stage 3 ovarian cancer.

That’s a rough thing for anyone to go through, but Bevier’s poise remained focused and strong as she belted out Rachel Bratton’s “Fight Song.” Her challenge helped give new meaning to the song, which she effortlessly made her own. The judges would have probably all voted her through but Cowell didn’t let things get that far.

Doling out the final Golden Buzzer of the season, it’s a safe assessment we’ll be seeing great things from the young singer. If anything, she definitely has Simon’s attention.

“America’s Got Talent” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
