Ariana Grande may not have made the funniest "Saturday Night Live" promos of all time, but her March 12 hosting gig started out with a big, funny, harmonious bang.
Referencing her infamous encounter with a donut, the 22-year-old singer based her monologue around a desire to have her first true, grown-up scandal. Staring plaintively into the distance, she says "I'm in a place where I'm ready to be caught in a real adult scandal."
"Miley's had 'em, Bieber's had 'em," she says. "What will my scandal be?"
What follows is a funny, clever song about botox, outrageous tweets, and other forms of debauchery. Flanked by dancers and the cast of "SNL," Grande also interacts with cast members like Pete Davidson, who recommends they go off somewhere together and have a smoke.
"Pot? Let's smoke some crack, man!" she says with a smile.
