Over the course of “The Bachelor” and other reality shows including “Dancing With the Stars” and “Celebrity Wife Swap,” Sean Lowe has become a fan favorite by keeping his life an open book. But all the drama, double-crosses and rose ceremonies pale in comparison to the exciting life development that is about to fuel the star’s next chapter.
According to Lowe’s Instagram, he and wife/reality show co-star Catherine Giudici have a baby on the way.
“It’s happening!” he tweeted on Tuesday (Dec. 8). “I’m going to be a dad!”
Adorably, Sean posted a pic of himself rubbing the ample belly of his wife Catherine. Sitting on a couch, it looks like they’ve even begun shopping for stuffed animals, as an elephant toy can be seen behind the smiling, ridiculously-photogenic couple.
Although nineteen seasons of “The Bachelor” have brought us lots of drama and hot tub hijinks, it is rare to see babies enter the picture — especially ones conceived as a direct result of the show and its sister program “The Bachelorette.”
Lowe originally appeared in 2012’s Season 8 of “The Bachelorette,” finishing in third-place — but first in the hearts of many fans.
In no time, “Mr. Nice Guy” got his own season of “The Bachelor,” and after sifting through 26 women in Season 17, he chose Giudici. Perhaps, to paraphrase Tracy Morgan, he should have begun each rose ceremony by declaring “Somebody’s gonna get pregnant!”
Although it is unknown how far along Giudici is, her stomach size would seem to be indicate that we’ll be meeting the “Bachelor” baby in early 2016.
