Everyone loves Betty White, and that will include “Bones” fans, because a trailer just dropped for White’s upcoming episode of “Bones,” to air on Oct. 22, called “The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves.” The comedy veteran will be jumping in as an experienced anthropologist, Dr. Beth Mayer, called in to help with a typically gruesome murder case for the Jeffersonian, acting as an atypically senior “Bones” squintern, a noted forensic anthropologist who’s happy to jump in and help Brennan, Booth, and the rest of the gang.
FOX has some details available about the episode, and it sounds appropriately horrifying for an episode so close to Halloween, since it will involve “coyote-wolf hybrids” eating a real estate scion.
Booth will need Mayer’s, help to unravel a conspiracy that will supposedly have something to do with fantasy football — luckily, White’s character is a big fan of the game, making her even better equipped to help out.
Another guest star, Ronde Barber, will be playing a professional NFL star who gets wrapped up in the case and might even be the culprit.
Brennan is used to being the know-it-all, but it looks like Mayer, will be giving her a run for her money. And paired with her instant connection and chemistry with Booth, it looks like there’s going to be a little rivalry between Mayer and Brennan to make the episode even better. Because even Bones can’t compete with the lovability of Betty White.
