Kevin Biegel (“Cougar Town”) and Mike Royce (“Lucky Louie”), who teamed up last year for the canceled FOX military comedy, are adapting the 1988 Tom Hanks comedy hit “Big,” reports The Hollywood Reporter. The series is going to explore what it means to be a kid versus an adult in today’s modern world, which provides quite a different landscape from the movie that came out over 25 years ago.

Small-screen “Big” will be an ongoing series with the episode count more akin to the cable model, which means 10-13 episodes. It has received a script order plus penalty commitment from FOX. The film, which earned Hanks his first Oscar nomination, was adapted into a Broadway musical in 1996.

We’ll just say it — now that “Fargo” Season 1 is over, what’s Colin Hanks up to?
