Steve Moses and Jackie Ibarra are the week 1 Big Brother 17 nominees

The “Big Brother 17” feeds went live Thursday (June 25) and after the annual shout-outs to friends and family that always happen when the feeds start, feed-watchers learned the current status of the houseguests. Warning: Don’t keep reading if you care about spoilers from the live feeds.

As viewers know, the two Heads of Household this week were Jason and James. However, inside the house the Battle of the Block competition has already taken place and Jason as been dethroned. No word as to which two nominees won BOB and took themselves off.

But the two nominees still on the block are Jackie Ibarra and Steve Moses. Also, Austin revealed that Vanessa gave him safety this week — sounds like Vanessa and Da’Vonne got their reward for sitting out the first HOH competition and it’s to keep someone safe for the week.

However, Jackie and Steve may not be in any danger. Based on a conversation between Jackie and Shelli, it sounds like the majority of the house is on board to get Jace out. No matter who wins POV, the Veto will be used and Jace will be the replacement nominee — and the house wants him out.

Of course, a lot can happen in a “Big Brother” week.

Vanessa, Austin and Liz are on slop and the Have-Not room has been revealed. The houseguests call it the “dentist’s office.”

An interesting side note is that during the shout-outs, Jeff — the houseguest who joined late, a former “Amazing Race” contestant — gave a shout-out to his twin brother. What if he’s the twin? Several fansites have decided that the twins are Liz Nolan and her sister Julia, but maybe not?

Also, this marks the third HG so far who has a twin, Shelli being the third. Now, Shelli won’t be the switching twin because her twin is a boy, but that’s still interesting. In Season 5, the only other time they show has done the twin-switch thing, there were also two other house guests besides the switching twin who had a twin, Drew and Diane.

The first Power of Veto competition will take place either Friday or Saturday, but either way, tune into Zap2it to find out who wins the POV and if he or she uses it in the POV ceremony Sunday.
