Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are hosting the 2016 Country Music Association Awards Wednesday (Nov. 2) for a ninth consecutive time, which puts them only one year behind Vince Gill's record of 10 years hosting.
In addition to their patented musical humor and famous guest stars, Underwood's fashion is a revolving door throughout the ceremony, some years reaching double digits in the number of ensembles worn on stage.
To celebrate the 50th annual CMA Awards, Screener has put together a look back at Underwood's couture -- a video of 59 dresses in 59 seconds -- and a look back at some of the fashion highlights and lowlights.
Fun & flowy
Underwood and her stylist love to put the country music star in brightly-colored, flowing dresses. They're all beautiful, particularly the green dress from 2011.
No dress, no mess
Not often, but sometimes Underwood swaps her dresses for hot pants or capris. We imagine it's a lot easier to perform boot-stomping without fear of flashing the audience.
Almost but not quite
These lovely dresses seem to suffer from too-many-accoutrements-itis. If the ruffles or frou-frous had been toned down, they would have been winners.
For its 50th ceremony, the CMAs are pulling out all the stops. Performers include Alabama, Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood, Brooks & Dunn, Florida Georgia Line, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Pentatonix, Reba, Ricky Skaggs, George Strait, Chris Stapleton and Dwight Yoakam.
Other appearances include the 2016 Summer Olympics Final Five gymnastics team, Josh Dallas, Jennifer Garner, Kirk Herbstreit, Barbara Mandrell, Peyton Manning, the cast of "The Goldbergs," Olivia Newton-John, the Oak Ridge Boys and Lily Tomlin.
The fun kicks off Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
