Craig Ferguson is ready to put a new spin on the History Channel. With his upcoming series "Join or Die" -- which is a bit of a hybrid of talk show and panel discussion -- the comedian and former "Late Late Show" host want to help change the way you look at the past. He will be joined by expert and celebrity guests as they debate everything from the biggest political flop to the most influential drug of all time.

In the above promo, exclusive to Zap2it, Ferguson gives viewers a hint of what to expect, as he sits in Abraham Lincoln's lap while a space shuttle launches, Queen Elizabeth sprays champagne everywhere and a Zeppelin passes by -- among other historic oddities.

"You thought I was history," Ferguson says. "Well, I am now."

"Join or Die with Craig Ferguson" premieres Thursday, Feb. 18 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on History Channel.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
