The theme of Monday night's (April 25) episode of "Dancing with the Stars" was "Famous Dance Night" and all the contestants were assigned to perform iconic numbers from popular musicals, movies, and music videos.
Highlights included "Fuller House"s' Jodie Sweetin and partner Keo Motsepe performing the technically difficult contemporary routine from Pink's "I Try." Kyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd's quickstep that Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz performed in "The Mask" was also very entertaining, but Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold's rendition of *NSync's "Bye Bye Bye" stole the show.
The Boyz II Men singer and Arnold incorporated both the TV screen heads and all the pops and locks from *NSync's amazing MTV Video Music Awards performance back in 2000. It was so evident that Morris was having such a good time with the dance, that his spirit was infectious. The judges absolutely loved it, as well.
"It was pop in its most brilliant form," Bruno says to him.
"This boy is on fire! Carrie Anne says, "You brought the dirty sexy. I've never seen you be so in it! And you kicked it to the curb!"
"You've just taken a greats step forward towards the final," Len says.
Lance Bass and Joey Fatone surprised Morris backstage after his performance. Fatone could barely talk because he was in tears watching someone he looked up to all his life dancing his moves, but Bass was able to speak for both of them: "He killed it!"
The judges gave Wanya and Lindsay a well-deserved high score 29, bolstering Wanya and Lindsay to becoming the top performers of the night.
