Nothing can get you in the Halloween spirit more than an exorcism and Discovery channel sister network Destination America has got just the thing for you.
The cast for the first live exorcism being broadcast in the U.S. was announced Thursday (Oct. 22) and it includes an archbishop, a psychic and “the Tennessee Wraith Chasers.”
Chris Jacobs will host as paranormal experts work to cleanse the house of Roland Doe, the real life man whose demon possession inspired the horror classic “The Exorcist.” Jacobs will anchor the entire process and offer commentary along with interviews with the experts, historians and descendants of the people who originally exorcised Doe.
Jacobs will be joined by Bishop James Long, presiding Archbishop of the United States Old Catholic Church, psychic Chris Coffey, the Tennessee Wraith Chasers and interactive correspondent Dave Glover.
The original “Exorcist” priest Father Bowdern’s great niece Eileen Dreyer will also be participating as well as Roland Doe researcher Mike Madonna.
Though it took four months for the original team to exorcise Doe, the cleansing of the house is scheduled to take two hours. “Exorcism: Live!” is set to air Friday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Destination America.
