Ed Sheeran has finally completed work on the giant lion head tattoo on his chest and he's quite proud of the outcome. The singer went on "Ellen" to talk about the ink and why it matters to him -- even if many of his fans have gone online to tell him they think it's ugly.

"I played the biggest venue you can play in England and sold it out for three nights," he explains. "England's national emblem is a lion."

All of Sheeran's many tattoos are associated with different moments in his career that he wants to remember and appreciate. "I feel like this is every part of my career put into one," he says of his literal body of work.

For those of you who had harsh words for the singer's inked chest, he has a message for you.

"I think it looks cool and don't really care if anyone else does," he proudly proclaims. After all, tattoos are personal decisions and the only one whose opinion matters in this equation is Sheeran himself --- and he couldn't love it any more.
