FOX outage during World Series 2015 Game 1

Game 1 of the 2015 World Series between the Kansas City Royals and New York Mets will not be remembered for its inside-the-park homerun. It will be remembered for the FOX broadcast outage and subsequent amazingness happening on Twitter.

Some fans were celebrating the lack of announcer Joe Buck; others had some ideas about what happened to the FOX truck at the stadium; others were surmising that the U.S. lost a war to someone because the FOX feed was replaced by MLB’s international feed.

The one actual negative effect this outage will have on the game is no instant replay. Reportedly both teams have agreed to go without it.
