Let your balalaikas ring out, “Gilmore Girls” fans — Netflix has reportedly closed a deal with Warner Bros. to revive the popular mother-daughter dramedy.
TVLine reports that negotiations with the cast are in the early stages, but all the major players — Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson — are expected to return for the revival.
The continuation will reportedly consist of four 90-minute episodes and will have Amy Sherman-Palladino, who created the series and then left prior to Season 7 because of a contract dispute with Warner Bros., to return to the show and wrap it up as she sees fit.
“Gilmore Girls” ran for seven seasons on The WB/The CW, going off the air in 2007.
Netflix tells Zap2it they have no comment at this time.
