Sam Hunt, the breakout country star of 2015, took the 58th annual Grammy Awards stage with veteran country singer Carrie Underwood for a duet on Hunt’s songs “Take Your Time” and “House Party” and Underwood’s “Heartbeat.”

The chemistry was palpable — take note, the two dozen country music awards shows that happen each year. These two are hot stuff and should perform together all year long.

But they aren’t merely performing at the Grammys. Hunt is nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Album. Underwood is up for Best Country Solo Performance.

Prior to the show, Hunt told Zap2it that “regardless of the outcome,” he’s just excited to be there.

“I’m just excited to be a part of the whole celebration of the music of 2015, and all of the artists who made it such a successful year,” says Hunt. “I love celebrating the genre of country music, but celebrating music as a whole is special in a different kind of way.”
