After finding out the Laurel is alive and pregnant on "How to Get Away with Murder," the biggest question on everyone's minds is who the father of that baby is.
That tidbit of information will remain a mystery for a little longer, but Thursday's (Oct. 20) new episode will give us a major clue about who is under the sheet as we follow Bonnie's (Liza Weil) storyline in both the future and the past.
We know that Bonnie is not the one under the sheet, but Weil says it's hard to feel a sense of relief when you're on a show where anything can change in the blink of an eye.
"I don't know if any of us really felt that relief," Weil says, "I think that we are very conscious that that night is young and that things are not what they seem."
This is the second time we've gotten hints that just because someone is alive in the flash forward, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll stay that way. Naturally we're freaking out, and for a good reason according to Weil. "It's definitely worrisome," she says about the possibility that Bonnie might not survive the night after all.
For now though, we get to dig deeper into Bonnie's feelings about her father, and best of all, her relationship with Frank (Charlie Weber).
"The death of Bonnie's father is a relief, but it's still a huge loss," Weil says. "Our creator, Pete Nowalk, has done a really beautiful job sort of sprinkling these backstory breadcrumbs and insights into how Bonnie operates. I think it's been building these past few episodes and it certainly all comes to a crescendo in Coalport."
As to whether or not Bonnie is wary of Frank given that he just committed murder, Weil says that she'll have a surprising reaction to seeing Frank again after all this time.
"I think that she has been feeling the loss of Frank in that house, and that's been very surprising to her," Weil says. "Since the beginning of the season with him gone, she's been questioning her identity in that house, her role with Annalise. The dynamic has shifted so much, and without Frank, she's had no real touchstone."
When all is said and done, make sure you keep watching to the bitter end of this episode because the final seconds will give the biggest clue yet as to who is under the sheet -- and who we should be most worried about.
"How to Get Away with Murder" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
