The mystery behind who shot Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) has finally been revealed. The killer came to light in Thursday night’s episode of “How To Get Away with Murder,” but there were still some need-to-know answers that were left in the dark.
As promised, the ABC drama unveiled the shooter in the show’s winter finale. It was Wes (Alfred Enoch) … In the study … With the gun.
During an episode full of flashbacks and backtracks, it was discovered that Annalise and the group were in really big trouble but unlike last season it was too much for a lie to cover-up. After all, Assistant District Attorney Sinclair had just turned up dead.
The only plausible solution for Annalise was to ask one of her pupils to shoot her to make their version of the story more convincing.
After Connor (Jack Falahee), Michaela (Aja Naomi King) and Laurel (Karla Souza) passed on this assignment, Annalise gave the gun to Wes. It quickly became an easy decision for him to pull the trigger after Annalise told him that Rebecca (Katie Findlay) was indeed dead.
“In my legs alright, I’ll be fine,” she begged before receiving a shot to the abdomen. The episode goes black before we know whether or not Annalise is dead or alive. It’s also unclear whether or not Wes and the gang get away with fleeing the scene of the crime.
“How To Get Away with Murder” airs at 10 p.m ET/PT on Thursdays to ABC.
