Liv (Rose McIver) is going country and there may be no coming back. On the next episode of "iZombie" -- Oct. 27's "Even Cowgirls Get the Black & Blues" -- Liv is heading south as she snacks on the brain of a cowgirl to solve a mystery.

As can be seen in Zap2it's exclusive first look, the brain brings with it some pretty funny quirks. Not only is Liv picking up what Rahul Kohli (Ravi) calls some "pretty amazing country sayings," but she's also taking the stage.

"Rose can sing and she can play guitar and it's been something they've been waiting to do," Kohli tells Zap2it and a small group of outlets during a visit to the "iZombie" set. "Seeing her play and seeing her sing live was incredible."

What will she be singing, though?

Kohli teases, "There is an original song and an iconic one. I definitely was there for an iconic one and an original." While he wont give any more details, executive producer Diane Ruggiero says of the original track, "Deirdre Mangan, who wrote the episode, also wrote the song."

"She wrote this amazing song with her friend," Ruggiero continues. "It's very beautiful and Rose just knocked it out of the park ... It's fun to see her playing this sassy southern lady."

"iZombie" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
