As long as "iZombie" has been around, the show's writers have offered up no end of entertaining brains for Liv (Rose McIver) and her fellow walking dead companions to chew on. Luckily, for fans of the show, Season 3 is going to be no different. With such excellent previous brains as strippers, superheroes and smut writers, you might think it would be hard for the show to top itself -- but just you wait.

While most of the brains that will be featured in Season 3 are being kept tightly under wraps, there are a few the cast let slip during a visit to "iZombie's" set in Vancouver. They've already spoken extensively about Liv and Major (Robert Buckley) sharing father and daughter brains together...

But even more intriguing for us is the "Dungeons & Dragons" fanatic brain Liv will eat, leading to Team Z playing a campaign together -- and the clever effects this brain will have.

"I didn't know that world growing up, but the good thing about that is because it's somebody who narrates and who is able to command groups and has a sense of adventure and this imperious kind of voice throughout it, that flows into her own life and her ability to kind of manipulate situations and make decisions for groups and encourage people to adventure," McIver says.

Rahul Kohli (Ravi) adds, "I’m super hyped about that, and Rose, we watched -- I’ve seen it before, but -- we watched 'Stranger Things,' just like a few choice bits, to be like, 'That's how you do it.'"

Things are also going to get rather uncomfortable when Liv eats dominatrix brain. "Poor Malcolm [Goodwin] and Rahul, Clive and Ravi, definitely sort of bear the brunt of that. And especially, again, now that Babineaux knows about Liv's reasons for the way she behaves, he's having to put up with things in a different way, so that's a very funny episode," McIver remembers.

There's also what the actress calls the "hot mess" brain: "That was probably my favorite -- very sort of Amy Schumer/'Trainwreck'/can't remember where she's left anything, hasn't got anything together," the actress says. "I didn't expect that to be as easy to play as it was. It's been a confronting season!"

While each of these brains, and the personality traits they give Liv -- and in some cases Major -- sound absolutely delightful, they are just scraping the surface of where Season 3 will go. We can't wait to see what else the cast and crew have up their sleeves.

"iZombie" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
