Petra Solano (Yael Grobglas) is a villain you can’t help but love on “Jane the Virgin.” And according to Grobglas, things are about to get even crazier for her character.
In less than a season, Petra has gone from being a cheating, manipulative wife to lovesick refugee, only to rebound as hotel chain mogul. Then the story took a twist when, as of “Chapter Eighteen,” Petra was kidnapped by her former lover Roman Zazo (Alano Miller) after he realized she knows he wasn’t really impaled by an ice sculpture earlier this season.
Now Petra will have to find a way to escape and get back to Michael (Brett Dier) so the two can arrest Roman and maybe even take down Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan).
These are the kinds of ups and downs to be expected in a telenovela series. In Petra’s defense, Grobglas and her co-star Dier explained to Zap2it at the 2015 Paleyfest that she’s has been given the short end of the stick. They tease what’s coming up for “Jane’s” villainess and what fans can look forward to in the impending Season 1 finale.
