Like many other people in New York City, Jim Carrey is worried about contracting the Ebola virus — so when he stopped by the “Late Show With David Letterman” on Wednesday (Oct. 29), he wasted no time in testing the host for the disease.
In the above clip, the “Dumb and Dumber To” jokester whips out a thermometer and — after giving Letterman the option of where he would like to stick the thermometer — rams it into the host’s mouth. Carrey, who recently hosted “Saturday Night Live,” then asks Letterman a few necessary questions to determine if he as contracted the virus.
“Have you traveled abroad lately?” asks Carrey. “Have you ever kissed a monkey or licked an airport toilet seat?”
Then, after asking Letterman if he ever plans “to be a member of ISIS,” Carrey analyzes the Dave’s temperature.
“Fifty-five degrees — just like the studio!” Carrey jokes. “That’s a little low, but it’s not symptomatic. Just don’t travel to [New] Jersey, OK? Because Chris Crispy’s much more serious about this stuff … Did I say Crispy? Freudian slip!”
Phew — it looks like Letterman is safe for now.
