“Wayward Pines” is FOX’s new mystery-thriller, kicking off summer 2015 TV in spectacularly creepy fashion. Under the direction of M. Night Shyamalan (“The Sixth Sense,” “Unbreakable”), it tells the tale of Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon), who comes to Wayward Pines looking for his missing partner. What he finds there … is a lot more than he bargained for.

In Zap2it‘s exclusive sneak peek at the character of Beverly, actress Juliette Lewis reveals that her character wants to help Agent Burke, because she sees him as her way out.

“[To] Matt Dillon’s character, I offer this kind of solace. A touchstone
of reality,” says Lewis. “She tries to tell Ethan what’s going on without saying it,
because they’re being watched. She needs a companion to try to plot her
getaway, and they find that in each other.”

But escaping Wayward Pines won’t be easy and Lewis says buckle up, because the twists and turns keep on coming. “I love this type of genre, it’s a very heightened reality with many layers to it,” says Lewis. “Things you’ll never expect in a million years are going to happen.”

“Wayward Pines” premieres Thursday, May 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
