rob kardashian Kris Jenner: Rob Kardashian is on a little hiatus from KUWTK

Plan on seeing even less of Rob Kardashian.

Kris Jenner, Kardashian’s mother, reveals that he will not be filming their E! show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” for a while.

“Well, he’s still part of the show,” Jenner tells People. “He’s had a year where he kind of wanted to chill.”

Her son, who has remained reclusive for the past two years, made headlines in December 2015 when he was rushed to the hospital and later diagnosed with diabetes. The 28-year-old was reported to have been battling with depression, which contributed to his more than 100-pound weight gain.

“He hasn’t been feeling well,” Jenner furthers. “We didn’t really know why. He was just diagnosed with diabetes so we’re taking care of that, but he’s always around.”

Maria Shriver was at the event and asked Jenner whether or not it’s hard to have one member of the family out of the public eye. Jenner reveals that “it would be really hard” for Kardashian to do, but that he still loves being around his family very much.

“I think that it was just the perfect time for him to take a little hiatus because he does that. We were doing that,” she explains. “We just said, ‘Get well. Feel better.’ He was depressed and just wasn’t feeling good and didn’t know why.”

No worries, “KUWTK” viewers. Jenner makes it clear that the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan will be remain filming the show while Kardashian is dealing with his personal struggles.

“No, because we see him,” Jenner confirms. “He’s with us all the time.”

Jenner adds that her son wants to return to the show after he is well again.

“He wants to still come back and shoot the show. He just wants to feel better,” she explains. “It’s not that he doesn’t want to be on the show. It’s just he wasn’t feeling good.”

“Keeping Up with the Kardashians” airs Sundays  at 9 p.m. ET/PT on E!
