louie s5 premiere date 'Louie' Season 5 joins 'The Comedians' on FX in April

FX has found a show to pair with “Louie,” and it’s not more “Louie.”
The cable channel’s new series “The Comedians,” starring Billy Crystal and Josh Gad, and Season 5 of “Louie” will debut on Thursday, April 9. “The Comedians” will air at 10 p.m. ET, with “Louie” following at 10:30.
“Louie” will run eight episodes, FX says. Per usual, details about where the season will go aren’t available at the moment.
“The Comedians” will run for 13 episodes. It stars Crystal as a comedy legend and Gad as an “edgier” up-and-comer who star in a late-night sketch show. Stephnie Weir (“MadTV”), Matt Oberg (“Onion News Network”) and Megan Ferguson (“Hart of Dixie”) also star.
Meanwhile, “Louie” co-star Pamela Adlon is doing a new project with FX. She’ll star in and co-write (with C.K.) “Better Things,” playing a woman raising three daughters and managing her career as a working actress.
