Matthew Lewis — in uniform, no less! — is coming to a streaming device near you. The “Harry Potter” alum is joining Season 4 of “Ripper Street.” He revealed the news via an Instagram photo.
By the looks of the photo, Lewis will be joining the league of police officers trying to hunt down Jack the Ripper in the period crime drama. The cast already includes Matthew Macfadyen, Adam Rothenberg, Charlene McKenna and “Game of Thrones” star Jerome Flynn.
Though Season 3 of “Ripper Street” just aired on BBC America, Season 4 is set to air exclusively on Amazon Prime, though a release date hasn’t been set. According to Deadline, Amazon picked up a fourth and fifth season of the show after Season 3 showed such impressive streaming numbers — even greater than shows like “The Walking Dead.” The online streaming site rescued the show after it was canceled by the BBC after two seasons.
If there’s anyone that’s been living under a rock and missed how well Lewis has been doing since his days as Neville Longbottom, let the following be a lesson in why Lewis + a uniform x weekly episodes = the best news.
