The Season 3 finale of MTV’s “Are You the One” aired Wednesday (Nov 18), and it all came down to a coin toss at the match-up ceremony.
Hosted by Ryan Devlin, the final episode revealed that not only did each cast member finally find his or her perfect match, they also collectively won the grand prize money of $750,000.
As a team, the 20 contestants lived together in Hawaii, hung out socially and took weekly tests in order to figure out which other cast member they were scientifically paired with by the show.
“Are You The One?” implements a dating algorithm to match up the cast members. This process includes in-depth interviews, detailed questionnaires and compatibility testing with the purpose of identifying 10 ideal pairs among the 20 participants.
The two-hour finale kept everyone guessing until the final moments.
So, without further ado, the 10 winning couples were: Connor and Chelsey, Zak and Kayla, Chuck and Melanie, Tyler and Cheyenne, Hunter and Hannah, Austin and Britni, Nelson and Stacey, Alec and Amanda, Devin and Rashida and last but not least, Mike and Kiki.
This was by far the most dramatic season of the dating show. The cast was so terrible at finding each other’s mate, it was impossible for the audience to even make a smart guess as to each person’s perfect match. But it was certainly a wild season to watch.
“Are You the One?” has already been renewed for a 4th season on MTV.
