Michael Weatherly is preparing to say goodbye to “NCIS” at the end of Season 13, so in preparation for his departure, Zap2it is taking a look back at some of his greatest hits. Up first — the women of Agent of Tony DiNozzo.

Wendy Miller

A lot of Tony’s troubles with women can probably be traced back to his childhood love Wendy (Perrey Reeves), who left DiNozzo the night before they were to be married. She eventually tries to get back together with him, but he shows remarkable maturity when he tells her no.

Abby Sciuto

Abby (Pauley Perrette) and Tony have one of the best relationships on the show. They’ve never been romantically involved, which makes the friendship that much richer. They bonded of their love of movies, and over the years have become incredibly protective of each other.

Director Jenny Shepard

DiNozzo and the NCIS director may have gotten off to a prickly start, but they ended up becoming good friends. When Shepard (Lauren Holly) is killed in the Season 5 finale two-parter, DiNozzo blames himself because he abandoned her protection detail (even though that was her order).

Dr. Jeanne Benoit

Tony’s first grown-up relationship, he took things slowly with Jeanne (Scottie Thompson) for fear of screwing things up like he had with all his past relationships. After DiNozzo is forced to choose between his work with NCIS and Jeanne, whose father is a famous French arms dealer, he chooses his work — and even heartbreakingly tells Jeanne their relationship was never real in order to let her move on, though viewers know he’s lying.

Caitlin Todd

Tony had more of a brother-sister relationship with Kate (Sasha Alexander), though he definitely didn’t regard her solely as a sibling. Either way, he was rocked by her death — another step on his path to growing up.

Ziva David

The tension-filled will they or won’t they dynamic between DiNozzo and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) was palpable for much of the middle seasons of “NCIS.” Things finally came to a head in Season 10 and the beginning of Season 11, which de Pablo briefly appeared in to finish up her character’s arc.

There has been much speculation that somehow “NCIS” will find a way for Ziva (Cote de Pablo) to return for DiNozzo’s send-off. It would be a huge shame if she isn’t there when Tony leaves — we’re picturing a George Clooney-esque cameo that “ER” pulled off when Julianna Margulies left.

Weatherly’s final episode is the Season 13 finale, titled “Family First,” airing Tuesday, May 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
