It’s time the world knew her name — and that name is “Jessica Jones.”
Marvel has debuted the first trailer for its second Netflix series based on the “Daredevil” universe, about a young woman who hangs up her super heroine cape to help those with super powers catch the bad guys from a more human angle.
Krysten Ritter takes on the titular part in the first Marvel series to follow “Daredevil.” By the looks of the trailer — which doesn’t offer any footage from the show but rather moving concept art — “Jones” will follow in “Daredevil’s” gritty tone and feel, which is a bit darker than Marvel’s film counterparts. Her relationship with Kilgrave (David Tennant) will center the show and put Jessica through the ringer of her first season.
The series will also lead to a Luke Cage (Mike Colter) show, — though executive producers have said it won’t be a planted spinoff within “Jessica Jones,” but the character will be an integral part of the series.
“Jessica Jones” premieres on Netflix on Nov. 20.
