Priyanka Chopra

When tackling a story as important as race issues, you’d think a news show like “Nightline” would be very careful to get their details right.

“Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra spoke to “Nightline” about her past as a Bollywood star, racist bullying she went through while attending high school in the United States and racial insults she’s been on the receiving end of all her life.

The program also touched on her time as a winner of the Miss World pageant, but that’s where the blunder came in. Instead of showing footage of Chopra — who won the title in 2000 — they showed Yukta Mookhey, the 1999 winner who is also from her home country of India.

While “Nightline” quickly apologized for the flub on Twitter and released a corrected version of the segment via their website, Chopra couldn’t help but laugh off the mistake.

When informed of what happened by a Twitter follower, Chopra simply replies, “Lol!”
