Wrangling actors on set is like herding cats. It’s hard to pull them away from camera lenses or reflective surfaces. ……………………………… Especially when it’s their final day on set, and they want to document every last moment and get a picture with every single person. Going to miss you, my TVD Family…. ❤️ #Selfie #SETlife #TVDFamily
Nina Dobrev announced she’s exiting “The Vampire Diaries” back on April 6, and now the time has come. Wednesday (April 15) was the last day of shooting and, as Dobrev writes on the above Instagram post, she wanted to “document every last moment and get a picture with every single person.”
“Going to miss you, my ‘TVD’ family,” Dobrev writes. By the
looks of it, the “Vampire Diaries” family is going to miss her as well.
Michael Trevino had a particularly emotional, helium-filled goodbye for
his co-star, especially since Trevino is also leaving the CW series this season.
The barrage of goodbye messages and photos began earlier in the week, with a lot of tears but also a lot of goofing around. It looks like the “Vampire Diaries” cast is incredibly tight-knit, so losing Dobrev is certainly a sad turn of events. But as executive producer Julie Plec told Zap2it, the show must go on, focusing on the adventures of the Salvatore brothers.
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 finale, which is Dobrev’s final episode, airs Thursday, May 14 on The CW.
