Vogue editor-at-large and the new America’s Next Top Model judge, Andre Leon Talley, who coined the term as a replacement for the tired adjective “fierce,” is lending his fashion prowess to the Oscar event for what he describes as a “historical moment.”

“I’m looking forward to the whole cast of ‘Precious,'” Leon Talley tells Zap2it. “I’m dressing [Director] Lee Daniel’s daughter, 14-year-old Clara, who will be Mr. Daniels’ date for the Oscars. I’m happy to say that I am dressing her and I’m proud of what we have done.”

Leon Talley wouldn’t tell us which designer he tapped for young Clara Daniels‘ red carpet look. He wants that to remain a surprise.

He did tell us what her father, “Precious” director Lee Daniels (pictured with the film’s star, Gabourey Sidibe), will be wearing.

]]>“I helped Mr. Daniels get his dinner suit from Tom Ford,” Leon Talley says. “So, that’s my contribution to the red carpet: Lee Daniels and his daughter Clara and I’m looking forward to seeing them on television.” When we asked him who else he’s looking forward to seeing at the event, Leon Talley was quick to answer. “I’m always excited to see Meryl Streep,” he exclaims. “For me, she is Hollywood royalty. So, anything Meryl Streep does or says will be for me a moment of great excitement.” Who else do you think will be throwing some major “drecktitude” on the Oscar red carpet?
