When “Prison Break” made its triumphant return to FOX last week, one thing became clear real quick: Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) lives a very rough life.

It takes a certain kind of man to break into a maximum security prison to free his brother. But after seven years, it seems he somehow found his way into a crumbling holding facility halfway around the world. Fox River Penitentiary was home to some pretty bad inmates, but Ogygia here exists in a realm all its own.

The exclusive clip above sheds some light on what Michael’s working with inside this Yemeni prison — and the friends he’s made along the way. It sounds like he’s got an escape plan in the works and by the sound of things, there’s no better time to leave than right now.

Scofield’s cellmate Sid (Kunal Sharma) reveals some awful news: As an act of forgiveness, all the prisoners held in solitary will be released into General Population. This doesn’t bode well for anyone — especially Sid: “The government gave me 20 years for homosexuality. Ramal and his men won’t let me live 20 minutes.”

Aside from the huge question behind Michael’s fake death, it’s evident this new prison life is vastly different from the one we remember. And if this Ramal (Numan Acar) character has his say — things are about to get brutal.

We know his official reunion with Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and the rest of his Fox River friends is coming… But currently, Michael has some much bigger fish to fry. If he does have an escape plan in the works, now is the time to kick things into motion and get the heck out of Dodge — before it’s too late.

“Prison Break” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
