rhobh 601 RHOBHs Yolanda Foster bares all, and by that we mean her face

Yolanda Foster’s battle with Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease takes center stage in the sixth season premiere of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Even when the former model is not in the room, she is still the subject of conversation, that may have overshadowed birthday girl Lisa Rinna during her dinner celebration.

Yolanda does the unthinkable in the first episode of the season when she leaves her house without a hint of makeup. Never mind that Beyonce notion of “I woke up like this” flawlessness. Lisa Vanderpump, along with her husband Ken and others who attended Lisa’s dinner, claim that is strictly unacceptable in Beverly Hills society — sick or not. In opposition to Lisa and Ken’s “You can’t sit with us” attitude, Lisa and Kyle defended their friend and appreciated her effort in joining the group during hard times.

“We all have this armor that we wear with our hair and our makeup and our clothes and Yolanda showed up vulnerable without any of her protection,” Rinna says. “That’s a very brave and courageous thing to do.”

Not only does Lisa not understand her appearance, she also seems puzzled about the severity of Yolanda’s diagnosis. Her cluelessness is unsurprising since Yolanda has yet to be invited to her bedside with good reason. After all, Lisa tells Kyle Richards they weren’t particularly close in the first place.

Meanwhile Yolanda appears desperate as she tries a variety of methods to cure her illness and get her back to her old fabulous self.

“I’ve done stem cells, I’ve done Ozone treatments, holistic antibiotics,” Yolanda explains. “I’ve been to many different places where people are open to different treatments that are not accepted or approved by the FDA here in America.”

Despite the ups and downs, Yolanda’s illness has been a blessing for her. It has been able to bring her closer to her true friends and more distance to those who are not.

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
