If you’ve never seen “Game of Thrones,” and you’re looking for a good cheat sheet to catch up, we’ve got a hilarious new option for you. Samuel L. Jackson lent his iconic voice to a new “Game of Thrones Beginner’s Guide” video, and it’s the best thing to happen to us all summer.

He starts by introducing the world and all the major characters, including the esteemed Stark family. “Nice family, right? Don’t get attached. I’m just sayin’.”

Jackson also managed to speak the one universal truth that all “Game of Thrones” fans agree on. “Everybody should be worried about this long-ass winter coming but instead are too busy fighting.”

All in all, the video does a pretty spectacular job of skimming through the details of the show, even though it skips over a few massive plot details like Joffrey’s death or Melisandre’s crazy fire magic.

Jackson didn’t have time to recap any of the goings on from Season 6 — mostly likely because it only wrapped up a few weeks ago — but that just means we’re going to keep our fingers crossed for another recap video. We think a Season 6 recap full of fire, revenge and resurrections would be a perfect fit leading up to the Season 7 premiere.

Fans frankly need another video, if only to hear Samuel L. Jackson rant more about Daenerys’ dragons. “First thing you need to know about this world is — no, not dragons. Fuck those dragons. Focus!”

“Game of Thrones” is set to return in 2017.

Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.”
