Blake Shelton is pulling double duty, y’all.

“The Voice” coach and, you know, country superstar is set to be the host and musical guest — and, according to Cecily Strong, the entire cast — of “Saturday Night Live” on Jan. 24. Considering that he is a complete jokester on “The Voice,” hosting “SNL” likely won’t be too big of a leap for him.

To show off his comedic talent, in the above promos, Shelton states his case for why he should be host (until Strong swivels around in her chair a la “The Voice”) and disses Strong’s fake country accent, but mostly, he just insults Adam Levine.

At one point, Shelton stops talking to Strong and directs his attention to the camera as if Levine were right in front of him.

“That guy is such a punk,” says Shelton. “I actually have a message for you right now, Adam. ‘Hey, Adam — look who’s hosting ‘SNL’ now, pretty boy. Hot shot, you silly mother–‘”

Unfortunately for Shelton, he can’t complete the insult because he’s informed cursing isn’t allowed. Dagnabbit.
