If Woody Harrelson were in charge of “Saturday Night Live,” there would be a lot more blood involved.
In the above promos, the “Hunger Games” star and Nov. 15 “SNL” host can’t seem to get rid of Haymitch Abernathy’s murder-filled life in Panem out of his head and calmly suggests to Taran Killam that “SNL” should think about killing off a cast member.
Unfortunately for the skeptical Killam, as Harrelson is explaining his idea, Aidy Bryant surprise-attacks him with a deadly arrow in the back. The best part? Bryant cheers with excitement as Killam’s body hits the floor, and then she raises three fingers up in the air a la her homegirl, Katniss Everdeen.
After Killam is revived — and done awkwardly and inappropriately hugging Harrelson — he gets himself into another life-or-death situation when he battles Harrelson in a slow-motion Old West duel. And even though they both eventually die, they die in good spirits: Harrelson can most definitely be seen tumbling down in a fit of giggles.
To watch the two goofballs get even weirder, take a look at the below video of the both of them silently going on an emotional journey due to whatever mystery drug Harrelson gave Killam.
Harrelson hosts “SNL” alongside musical guest Kendrick Lamar on Nov. 15 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
