There’s a little over a month until FOX’s hit dance competition, “So You Think You Can Dance,” returns to the small screen. This time around, however, Nigel Lythgoe has changed up the formula yet again and for the first time ever, children will take the stage to show the judges and the world what they’ve got.

Kids ages eight to 13 will audition in front of Lythgoe and his fellow judges, Paula Abdul, Jason DeRulo … and 13-year-old “Dance Moms” star, Maddie Ziegler. The styles performed by the young hopefuls will still feature fan favorites like contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop and Nigel’s favorite, tap.

Along with the show’s new format —  don’t worry, Cat Deeley is still the host — these tiny dancers will eventually be paired with All-Stars from previous seasons. Can you picture Cyrus pop-locking with a young animator? We sure can!

“So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation” premieres Monday, May 30 on FOX.
