A game of Catchphrase was on tap for Thursday’s (Feb. 12) “The Tonight Show,” and Colin Firth appears to be a natural.
Jimmy Fallon brought out former “30 Rock” star Jack McBrayer to partner with Firth while Fallon ended up with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Triumph’s puppet hands may not have been an asset for Fallon while playing a game of Catchphrase, but once Firth picked up the rules of the game he was just a lot better at giving clues.
“Spoiler alert” gave Firth a bit of trouble at first, but he was ready for “chips” and “blizzard.” Triumph of course rebels against’s Firth’s natural ability with a surprise of his own — a strategically placed pile of puppet poop. The foul pile wasn’t able to salt Firth’s clue-giving game, because he just casually moved the poop to Fallon’s side of the table and continued to dominate.
Cheers on a game well played, sir. Firth’s film “Kingsman: The Secret Service” is in theaters starting Feb. 13.
