Attention “Supernatural” family — Jared Padalecki is teaming up with the non-profit To Write Love on Her Arms to help bring awareness to mental illness and raise money to help those suffering from depression and struggling with self-harm and addiction.
The star has designed a limited edition exclusive T-shirt for the organization, which you can order here, that reads “Always keep fighting” over a picture of Padalecki. The goal was originally to sell 1,000 t-shirts, but thanks to the loyal devotion to Padalecki and the cause, TWLOHA has sold over 23,000.
In a recent interview with People, the actor revealed that he gained an interest in doing a philanthropic campaign from “Arrow” star Stephen Amell, who has done several successful campaigns for F*** Cancer. The idea for “Always Keep Fighting” specifically came on New Years Day 2015 when a close friend lost his battle to depression.
“People who are dealing with depression, addiction or suicidal thoughts or mental illness … they’re strong,” Padalecki tells the magazine. “You’re strong because you’ve been in this fight and you wake up thinking you’re going to beat it again today.”
The shirts are available until March 18, so there’s still time to grab one and help support this great cause.
