Well, well, well — how the tides have turned.
As Jen Widerstrom explains in the clip, she is definitely not the biggest fan of open water. Unfortunately for Widerstrom — considering the remaining six contestants and their three trainers are on the island of Kauai for the next two episodes — she has to deal with a whole lot of blue seas. Specifically, she must snorkel in the open waters near Anini Beach with two contestants.
“I’m always encouraging these contestants to open up about their fears and be in that vulnerable space, and it’s occurred to me that I’ve never really done that with my own fears and insecurities,” says Widerstrom.
Luckily for her, she’s not alone: Howard “Woody” Carter also shares her phobia. As the student becomes the teacher and the teacher becomes the student, Woody is able to successfully support Widerstrom and make sure that she is able to push forward and face her own fears.
“The Biggest Loser: Glory Days” airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
