One of History Channel's highest performing shows is getting set to return with new episodes as Rick and Marty Lagina continue their quest for legendary treasure in "The Curse of Oak Island."

Season 3 will find the brothers continuing their mission to find the buried loot as they launch a three-pronged exploratory assault on their discoveries from Season 2: the Money Pit, 10-X, and the Swamp.

In Zap2it's exclusive sneak peak, Rick and Marty meet with expert treasure-hunting, metal-detecting team -- father and son Robert and Bob Leonard. The sit-down delivers intriguing new details regarding the variety of treasure allegedly buried deep beneath Oak Island.

The brothers originally acquired the rights to the legendary island -- located off the coast of Nova Scotia -- and are attempting to fulfill a childhood dream ("Goonies," anyone?) to find out what's lurking underneath. Many rumors exist speculating pirate or Templar treasure exists below. Some even think the Holy Grail or the Ark of the Covenant lie there waiting to be unearthed.

Myths about the island have existed for centuries, prompting a number of historical figures -- John Wayne, Errol Flynn, and Franklin D. Roosevelt to name a few -- to venture out in digs of their own but to no avail, making this one of the longest treasure hunts in history.

Six people have died trying to find answers to the mystery, and according to the curse, one more must parish before the truth is revealed.

"The Curse of Oak Island" Season 3 premieres Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on History.
