President Obama made his seventh appearance on “The Daily Show” on Tuesday (July 21) to say goodbye to departing host Jon Stewart.

“I can’t believe you’re leaving before me. I’m going to issue an executive order. Jon Stewart cannot leave the show. It’s being challenged in the courts,” the President said to get Stewart to reconsider leaving the fake news desk.

Stewart countered that he thinks its more of states rights issue before continuing on to grill the president about current hot topics, like the administration’s new deal with Iran.

Obama urged constituents to contact their congressional representatives with their thoughts on the plan, even if they disagree with the president.

“If they are not hearing from citizens then we end up making bad choices,” he said.

Finally, President Obama and Stewart managed to agree on one political headline maker — Donald Trump.

“I’m sure the Republicans are enjoying Mr. Trump’s current dominance as the front-runner,” Obama said.

“Anything that makes them look less crazy,” Stewart countered.

The show marks President Obama’s third time at “The Daily Show” desk since he’s been elected and seventh overall. Stewart served as host for each of those appearances but will have his final show on Aug. 6.
