Did “The Flash” really just blow the lid off of a number of major events happening throughout the remainder of Season 3? It certainly looks like it — but you have to give credit to the writers for seemingly doing so in a very creative way.

When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) helped Barry (Grant Gustin) vibe back to the future — yes, of course Cisco made a Marty McFly joke — we spotted a number of news headlines that seem to reveal a bunch of big things happening over the next four months, leading up to the possible death of Iris (Candice Patton).

So what does “The Flash” want us to think is coming? Let’s go through each of the future claims and try to figure out what they mean.

‘Music Meister gets six-figure book deal’

As we already know, Music Meister is the villain in the “Supergirl”/”The Flash” musical crossover event and he will be played by “Glee” alum Darren Criss. Based on the fact that he’s landed a book deal, it can certainly be inferred that he survives his lyrical showdown with Barry and Kara (Melissa Benoist) — and chances are he’s not going to be locked in the jail under STAR Labs. Hard to land a book deal from down there.

‘Luigi’s opens after murder’

For this one, there’s really nothing to know yet. Given that every other headline is connected to Team Flash, it’s only natural this would be too. Who’s the victim and who’s the murderer? Furthermore, is this something that happens because Barry is changing the present timeline to alter the future?

‘Joe West honored at City Hall’

Listen, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) should be receiving all kinds of honors. The guy is a genuine hero who has saved the city over and over. What’s leading to this particular honor, though? Given the headline is in past tense, it seems the ceremony went off without a huge calamity. At least there’s that.

‘Killer Frost still at large’

So is Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) going evil? “The Flash” certainly wants us to believe she is. As it stands, her wristbands weren’t doing the job of keeping her powers at bay. That new pendant from Julian (Tom Felton) is a bit too easy a target to hit, though — our guess is it’s going to get displaced at some point, letting Killer Frost out to play.

‘STAR Labs Museum closes’

Well, it had a good one-day run, didn’t it? While HR (Tom Cavanagh) may think the STAR Labs Museum is going to work out, perhaps a single day of good admission won’t mean much in the long run. Is the STAR Labs museum doomed? We hope not — if only because the world needs more Cisco holograms.

‘City still recovering following Gorilla attack’

It’s already been revealed that Gorilla Grodd will be back on “The Flash” this season — and from the sounds of that headline, the giant gorilla is going to do some serious damage to Star City. The only question is who’s coming with him: After all, when last seen he was sent to Gorilla City. Who’s to say Grodd returns alone?

“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
