“Suicide Squad” director David Ayer posted a photo of his cast from their first script readthrough to Twitter, and three unexpected faces are in the mix. Both “The Mindy Project” star Ike Barinholtz and actors Jim Parrack and Adam Beach are pictured in the image, though none of them have officially been announced yet.

Zap2it reached out for comment about the roles the actors are playing but has not yet heard back from Warner Bros. Latino Review is reporting that Parrack is Joe Mangianello’s replacement as Deathstroke, while Barinholtz is Dr. Hugo Strange and Beach is the villainous Ravan.

Also pictured are previously-announced “Suicide Squad” stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Viola Davis. Noticeably absent is Jared Leto, who is playing The Joker. Production on the film begins soon.

“Suicide Squad,” which is set in Warner Bros.’ DC cinematic universe but tells the story of the villains being used by the government for good, is due in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016. It comes out the same year as “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and is followed by “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League Part One” in 2017.
