glee season 6 premiere ratings TV ratings: 'Glee' opens modestly, 'Shark Tank' leads Friday

The final season of “Glee” opened to modest numbers in the Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 — not unexpected with the shift to Friday nights. Though it was off significantly from last season’s premiere, it did improve on the Season 5 finale.
Also Friday, “Shark Tank” retained its usual spot as the top show among adults 18-49. “Last Man Standing” and “Cristela” were also up from their last original episodes. “Blue Bloods” and “Hawaii Five-0” also rose for CBS.
CBS led the night in viewers with 10.8 million and a 6.7 rating/12 share in households, easily beating ABC’s 7.1 million and 4.4/8. NBC (3.5 million, 2.3/4) came in third. FOX was fourth with 2.35 million viewers and a 1.5/3, and The CW (708,000, 0.5/1) trailed.
ABC scored a narrow win among adults 18-49 with a 1.6 rating, edging CBS’ 1.5. FOX and NBC tied for third at 0.7, while The CW averaged a 0.2.
