With just one original airing on the night — CBS’ “Mike & Molly,” which was on par with last week’s original episode — most shows were down week-to-week.

CBS eked out a win for the night with an average of 6.7 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/7 household share. ABC’s New Year’s-themed programming took second place, with 4.4 million (2.6/4), with NBC coming in third (3.1 million, 2.1/4) and FOX and The CW trailing with 1.7 million (1.1/2) and 1.1 million (0.7/1), respectively.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS just barely beat out ABC with 1.2 and 1.1, respectively. NBC and FOX tied for third (0.5) and The CW followed with a 0.4.
