Fast National ratings for Monday, Oct. 20, 2014
FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow” improved on last week’s ratings Monday night, and “Jane the Virgin” put up more good numbers in its second week on The CW. That was the good news for the broadcast networks. Most everything else, though, was flat or down.
“The Voice” and “The Blacklist” both took hits for NBC. “Gotham” dipped for FOX, and the season premiere of “The Millers” lost half its “Big Bang Theory” lead-in on CBS, which in turn brought lead-out “Scorpion” down a little.
ABC averaged 11.6 million viewers and a 7.7 rating/12 share in households in primetime, pending updates for a “Monday Night Football” pre-emption in Pittsburgh. NBC (10.9 million, 6.8/11) edged CBS (10.5 million, 6.6/11) for second. FOX (5.5 million, 3.3/5) took fourth. The CW currently stands at 1.65 million viewers and a 1.1/2, also pending updates for an “MNF” pre-emption in Houston.
NBC led the 18-49 demographic with a 3.0 rating, half a point better than CBS’ 2.5. FOX came in third with a 2.0, followed by ABC, 1.9, and The CW, 0.7.
